What’s On
View our upcoming activities and drop-in sessions delivered exclusively at the Family Centre.
The Well-being Hub has been instrumental in providing families with information, support and advice. The work of the Hub is also being extended by developing Pop Hub Hubs in the north and South of the borough.
The Well Being Hub seeks to is develop collaborative working practices providing a range of effective signposting opportunities from available support services.
Community Hub
The Ardleigh Green Family Centre was established to provide help and support for families in the local community. Inspired by the sitcom CHEERS which highlights the importance of being part of something where “Everyone knows your name,” the title reminds us of the importance of:
Community Hospitality Engagement Empowerment Relationships Signposting
This acronym continues to be the driving force behind the wide range of activities the centre now provides for families across Havering. The Community Hub is one of such initiatives.
Our monthly Community Hub which operates on the first Tuesday of the month during term time seeks to provide a “One Stop Shop,” for families to receive support from a wide range of professionals. The Hub operates from 9.00am to 10.30am with parking available at New City College directly opposite the Family Centre.
To further extend the work of the Ardleigh Green Hub we have established a number of “Pop Up Hubs,” across Havering. These hubs have extended the work of the Family Centre providing “Safe Places,” for families to seek help support and advice.
Family Support
The vision of the Ardleigh Green Family is to provide help, and advice for families. The work of the centre is supported by a wide range of professionals and organisations to which the centre is able to signpost families for support and guidance. Face to face advice is available at our monthly Community Hub which meets on the first Tuesday of the month during term time and our weekly Baby Club Hub which meets every Thursday morning during term time.
We are proud to partner with the national charity Care for the Family who provide the Family Centre with guidance and support material on family related matters
