The Leadership and Management of Ardleigh Green Family Centre
The day to day Leadership and Management of the Family Centre is overseen by John Morris OBE and Theresa Jordan, supported by a team of committed volunteers.
John and Theresa worked together for over twenty years at Ardleigh Green Junior School, where John was the headteacher and Theresa was responsible for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Having retired from headship in 2024 John is now the Director of Academy Improvement for the EMPOWER Learning Academy Trust and Theresa is now the Assistant Headteacher at Hylands Primary School with responsibility for Inclusion. Undertaking their new roles whilst continuing to develop the work of the Family Centre, has been made possible through Reaching Communities funding which has allowed them to be seconded to the project for a set amount of hours each week.
The trustees of Ardleigh Green Family Centre oversee governance, strategic direction, and financial management, ensuring the centre remains a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for the community.
The Board of Trustees have supported the work of the Family Centre since its inception. Bill Jennings was the Chair of Governors when John first shared the vision, Kevin Stephenson was the Vice Chair of Governors and Vicki Higgins was John’s P.A. This dedicated group of people have witnessed the journey from VISION to PROVISION. Working Together, Learning together they have undoubtedly grown together!
