Family Centre Partners

The Family Centre partners with a range of trusted organisations committed to providing help and support and advice for families. The Community Hubs act as a “One Stop Shop,” which ensures effective signposting to trusted individuals and organisations. In addition to the organisations listed above we are extremely grateful to the support off.

Currently we have six NCT trainers using the Centre providing local parents support with:-

The Family Centre works closely with EPEC (Empowering Parents and Engaging Communities) who lead regular courses at the centre. A course for parents of children who have autism was launched this year.

EPEC offers courses for parents and carers designed by the NHS Centre for Parents and Children. Unlike other parenting courses, EPEC trains local parents to deliver the sessions themselves, fostering a peer-to-peer learning environment.

The Havering Empowering Parents Empowering Communities (EPEC) Hub | Havering Directory

The SKIPS Adoption Support Group, in partnership with Havering Post Adoption and Permanency, offers a safe space for adoptive parents to share experiences and receive assistance, particularly during the early stages of placement. Our Adoption Support Drop-in provides therapeutic support for adoptive families and training for teachers.


We are excited to integrate cutting-edge virtual reality technology to help educators understand early trauma and its effects on a child’s development. This initiative will equip teachers with skills to create a more supportive learning environment for adopted children.

Mind of the Parent

As a Family Centre we partner with Mind of the Parent and hold a series of  workshops facilitated by experienced healthcare professionals. These workshops offer a safe, supportive space where parents can:


With the rise in mental health challenges faced by young people, the need for parental support is more pressing than ever. This programme is designed to bridge the gap by equipping parents with the tools they need to be confident, informed, and empathetic supporters for their children.

Debt Support and Advice

The Family Centre has established a close working relationship with Debt Free London with one of their Debt Information Kiosks installed at the Family Centre. This facility allows confidential face to face support and advice with qualified Financial Advisors from Debt Free London.
